Torchlight II coming to Asia

We have some good news for our fans in Asia! Localized versions of Torchlight II will be released in the region.

C&C Media will release Torchlight II in Japanese, 4Games will release in simplified Chinese, and IWAN will release in traditional Chinese. If you are interested in getting a localized box edition of Torchlight II, watch their websites for a release date and details!

To celebrate the news, three new Asian themed pets will be available to all players. We'll definitely let you know when to check them out. Thank you for playing!

PAX Prime is now just two days away! On August 31st, Friday morning at 9am PDT, Max and Travis will be live on Twitch.TV to talk about the official release date. We are debuting our shiny new trailer, featuring new gameplay from all four classes. We love it. It's awesome.

We'll also be holding a Q&A session, and you can add your questions to our forum thread, here. We will answer as many of them as we can during our time slot.

Not going to be at PAX Prime? No problem, the stream will be live on the torchlight2game.com homepage and recorded so you can watch it again throughout the weekend. (Hint: look for the zombie).

If you are going to be at PAX, stop by and play Act II! We'll also be on Twitter talking about the release date and all the other details. We're excited about PAX and sharing all the news with you. We hope to see you there, in costume!

Travis with some Torchlight II Updates

So, hey there. It's been requested that I bring back the 'Not a Blog' features that I used to do for Mythos, in days of yore.

This won't be exactly like that. I'm not going to spend a lot of time talking about potential features, and so on - because we're way beyond that point in development.

Instead, I'm going to try to give you a general idea of what we're spending time on, why we do it, and why it matters. I may have to rename it tl;dr though.

Many folks are anxious to see the game released - many have preordered, and want a date! We've been deliberately vague on this point. My hope is that if I give you an idea of what we're doing, what it takes to do it, and the scale of it, it will make it apparent why that is.

We're starting the week early with a little announcement: We'll be at PAX Prime and we can't wait to see you there! PAX Prime is literally three blocks from our offices and it would be rather silly if we didn't go, so stop by our booth and play some Torchlight II!

Torchlight II Soundtrack Giveaway!

Greetings from E3, where the weather is warm and sunny, the games are shiny, and we're giving away the Torchlight II soundtrack! This E3 we wanted to do something a little more special than the run of the mill swag. Something Torchlight-ier. Something resonant. What we came up with is Matt Uelmen's gorgeous soundtrack, in highest possible quality.

You may remember from an older news post that after the score was composed, it was recorded by a symphony in Slovakia. The score is at times lush, epic, dark, and always touched by Matt Uelmen's signature haunting 12-string guitar.

These are a very limited release, and we are giving away 25 copies to our fans! How can you get a copy?
